Wedding Photographer, Educator & Co-Founder of Photo Logica
I didn’t set out to become a wedding photographer.
When my wife Mishka and I moved to Guatemala I loved photography. But I had no wedding clients, no reputation, and no real plan for how I might turn my passion into a career.
So we created our own opportunity.
We borrowed a secondhand wedding dress, photographed a fake wedding, and published the photos online.
A few weeks later, a couple found those photos on Google and asked me to photograph their wedding.
That inquiry back in 2012 changed my life.

Fast forward to today . . .
Almost 15 years later, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings throughout Guatemala and destinations around the world.
My work has been featured by The New York Times, Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, Brides, and more than 50 other publications.
The biggest lessons I’ve learned have come from hands-on experience—photographing real weddings and building a successful photography business.
That’s why we created Photo Logica.
I wanted to build the kind of educational resource I wish I’d had when I was starting out—one built on real experience rather than theory, and focused on helping photographers create thriving careers genuinely enjoy.
My Story
Photography became part of my life when I was growing up in southern Spain.
My brother introduced me to landscape photography, and we spent countless evenings photographing sunsets and long-exposure night scenes.
Those trips taught me the fundamentals of photography, but they also taught me something more important: how to slow down, observe carefully, and look for just the right moment.
Everything changed after Mishka and I moved to Guatemala, where we landed our first wedding client and eventually built our wedding photography business.
Over the years I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, built a destination wedding photography business based in Antigua, Guatemala, and had the privilege of documenting celebrations for couples from around the world.
Now, I want to share what I’ve learned. When I was getting started, there was a ton of advice—too much advice!—and I found it overwhelming and hard to navigate.
At Photo Logica we start with fundamentals, and build from there.
Everything I teach here comes from lessons I’ve learned while photographing real weddings, building a photography business from the ground up, and continually refining the systems that help me create better work while giving my couples what they’re looking for.
